Wearing a dress out in public- A first
Planning out my outfit a week in advance and laying it out the night before- A definite first
Crying about my new, white, one inch heel shoes hurting me - Well I do it with most shoes other than my sneakers
Not being able to walk in my shoes- ...too many times to count
Feeling so femininely professional- A very, very WE ird feeling....so VERY WE ird
Having my day start out bad- Oh so common
Water bottle spilling all over my very important, and much needed papers, and my laptop, and books- I guess it happens, but damage to this extreme is a first.
Standing around in the bathroom covering everything with napkins- Little girl's mom staring at me, and then little girl coming out from bathroom stall to stare at me.
Tripping every 20 steps because of my shoes- Been there, done that
Having to use the stairs to walk up six flight of stairs in annoying shoes- Oh so annoying- Well maybe the elevator for my parking structure is working and I won't have to walk up 9 flight of stairs.
Having people tell me I look pretty- So unnerving. I might actually start throwing my shoes at them.
Having people tell me over and over again- Breathe, don't talk fast, and don't say unnecessary things- Priceless
There are some things that life throws at you, and then there are some things that life ONLY throws at YOU.

As salaamu alaikum,
Your blog's feed right now has the noreply@blogger problem (it shows that instead of author's name). I have described in here how to fix this:

you are currently sitting in your interview and i am anxiously awaiting your return.
i think im more nervous than you.
oh and your laptop is working just fine. alhamdullilah. :)
you're welcome.
Interview? What interview?? Thanks for filling me in on your life, misseveryoneisgoingtomoveonwiththeirlives. I guess you are the one that took a step in that direction first. hmmph.
BTW, Insha'allah your interview went well, for whatever it was

Assalaam Alaikum,
Wow so much at once habibty. A dress, heels, the lap-top. I always shake in interviews, it's just natural. I cn't imagine walking to one in heels...
But, it sounds like you did very well. I hope that you get a quick and good answer about it.
Love you and praying it turns out the way you want it to.
I would have started beating myself with those shoes! Hope the interview went well!! I'm sure it did!!
These are the posts where I long for a picture. :-)
Swore off heals long ago... I look just as beautiful in cute flats.
Let us know how it went.
im sure they meant it when they say you look pretty :) if i ever see you and i say the same thing, please dont throw your one-inch heels at me because, i'm good at dodging and i have three-inch stilettos. bwah ha ha. but you see, i'm so nice that i wont throw my stilettos at you :P
my point being, there are times when all you can do is just to embrace the compliments. those compliments dont come too often :)
Dear Girl in Stiletto,
I do not know how to take compliments....care to teach me?
FMB, Yours truly- i think i will be doing a follow up post...oh it will be a fun follow up post..
So like, did the interview go well?...
You looked really pretty.
MashAllah. hahahah
Ohhhhh. I hate wearing things I'm not used to either. A tip though: heels are easier to run in! Ha ha. I found that when I used to wear them out at night (with jeans, no dresses here really, only over jeans sometimes). I'm a flat shoes and thongs (flip flop) kinda girl. Hope your interview went ok! And my baby girl spilled coke on my lap top today. I hate that feeling, of having something potentially damaged by water... you can never go back :(
