On a shooting star

I wish people weren't so quick to judge. I wish we were always protected from the whispers of Shaytan*.

I wish mistakes weren't made. I wish feelings weren't so easily affected. I wish we understood.

I wish thoughts were always good. And I wish that only good results came out of good intentions.

Sometimes it really sucks that the world isn't perfect. It sucks when people don't try but it sucks even more when they do and fail.

Sometimes, I wish I had the power to fix everything. Right now, I wish I could just make the above come true.

*Shaytan-the arabic word for Satan.

I think we all wish that from time to time.

Good results from good intentions- especially I'd agree with you. The rest too.
D'you know the proverb: If wishes were horses, beggars would ride? My Gran always said that when we said 'I wish'.

i like these pictures.

were you thinking of the song "airplanes"

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now

There aren't enough airplanes for your wishes.

Just kidding!

I wish the same things dear!

I understand your wishes. The thing is that perfection that you wish for is a matter of perspective. We are perfect in our imperfection. Perfection is a matter of each person's perspective. It is different for each of us because each journey is different.
The key to all change is to be the change you desire to see in others. It always begins with us.

ugh i know its like a phrase or whatever, but it irks me to hear people say "wishing on stars."
the origin of "wishing on stars" is during the time of Prophet Abraham, people used to worship the stars as divine, and the planet Venus in particular was wished on, since it is the brightest looking "star"
but Prophet Abraham taught them that the stars set during the day, and are not divine. 'wishing' is just a nice way of saying praying to it. may God protect us from it (and yeah i know its just a saying)

on trying but failing: i disagree! its all about your outlook :)
thomas edison: i haven't failed - i've just found 10000 ways that don't work.
and: there's a way to do it better, find it.
