ok um.. maybe she should journal the old-fashioned way and write down everything in a book, and then when she comes back she can tell us about it.

sorry for commenting thrice, but here is some info you can pass on about bypassing a blacklist:

https://www.torproject.org/
this is a software that can be put on a usb drive http://www.torproject.org/torbrowser/

http://www.lightbluetouchpaper.org/2006/06/27/ignoring-the-great-firewall-of-china/

cheryl might have to set up a proxy server outside of china. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server)

http://psiphon.ca/ this is a software that sets up a proxy server. someone in the free world has to use this to install a web-based proxy on their computer. Then pass your IP address and password for accessing the proxy to cheryl. this way it is hard for the chinese gov surveillance to check.

info about the great firewall of china: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Shield_Project

hope that helps :)

This was very interesting, and sadly does not surprise me about China.

Sorry I did not comment earlier, I don't know Cheryl, but that's no excuse! :-D
