The most Important Man in my Life....

If you're like me, and unaware of certain dates, today is father's day. A day to commemorate the special man/men in your life.

My dad is my hero. He has so many admirable qualities and I strive to have some of the characteristics that he has. He has kept our family (and extended family) strong for the past number of years. He was an orphan and helped his older brother raise the family (3 brothers and 1 sister). My dad has also financially supported his family back home since him and my mom have moved to America, which was 26 years ago. And not once has he complained about doing it.

My dad, he is a very sweet,supportive, caring, humble, and patient man.

He is also extremely forgetful.

Every year my dad and I have this conversation. No joke:

Dad: What happened to your nose?

Me: What happened to my nose?

Dad: It looks broken. Did you get hurt while swimming.

Me:.....I've never been swimming. I dont know how to swim.

Dad: Yeah, that spot right there. Makes your nose look broken. I think you broke your nose. ::points to something on my nose::

Me: ::looking in the mirror::

Me: Dad, that's a bone. That bone has been there for the past twenty four years of my life.

Dad: Oh. Are you sure you? You sure you didnt get hurt while swimming?

I sent my dad a text saying "Happy Father's Day!" And because he doesnt understand/know how to text back, he called me and said, "Father's Day and Mother's Day is everyday."

I love my dad.
